Volunteer: Volunteers are used in the
office on clerical assignments, computer projects, client transport,
fund raising and many other important events. Please go to our

Gay Bingo:
Mid-Fairfield AIDS
Project organized and operated its first season of it’s fundraiser
“Gay Bingo” from September 2003 to May 2004. A great success for the
agency, “Gay Bingo” created an opportunity for local businesses to
show their support of the HIV/AIDS community, while gaining exposure
for their products and services.
Organizations and businesses were most
generous last year, providing prizes and raffle items that helped MFAP
raise $32,000. These funds enable MFAP to provide Emergency Financial
Assistance and to help fund programs not covered under grants.
For more than 17 years MFAP has been
there to help those in the greater Norwalk area living with HIV/AIDS.
MFAP works to bring those living with the virus into care and allow
access to various organizations, state and federal programs to help
reduce the difficulties faced by those living with the virus.
“Gay Bingo” hosted by Sybil Bruncheon
and Fabio Gorgissimo, is a fun filled evening of wit, wisdom and
winnings! This season kicks off on October 1st. A sellout many times
last season, with more than 200 people in attendance, it’s a rousing
good time.
Bingo donations valued from $50 and up
are won or raffled throughout the evening, with each donor’s name and
information read at the time of the game. Additionally, donor’s name
and contact phone number are printed on the evenings Bingo Program.
In addition there are portions of the
Bingo project that need to be underwritten such as: Pizza at each
event, soda, some equipment, decorations and more. A one time donation
of money to pay for these items would buy the donor their business
logo or banner on the wall for one to ten bingos or the privilege of
passing out advertisements of their choosing to all persons at Bingo
from one to ten times. We can work out the details of this in person.
